Quick Weekend Update

I've just got a few moments here to congratulate Sam Querrey, who won the $50,000 Lubbock Challenger and U.S. Open Jr. girls finalist Tamira Paszek, who won her first WTA event, as a qualifier. They will certainly be "ACES" in my SMASH online column, which will be delayed this week due to my vacation.

The Lubbock article on Querrey's win requires registration.

The WTA story on Paszek's win is a comprehensive one. Maybe she'll rate a profile of her own, now that she's reached 160 in the rankings. Querrey is now at 134 in the ATP rankings, in tenth place among Americans.

Now back to Clifford the Big Red Dog and Maisy.

Sam Querry vs Donald Young in the upcoming USTA challenger first round. Are they the next Agassi - Sampras rivalry that the US needs?

so querrey vs. young tomorrow in tulsa. what are everyone's predictions?

"if" Young were to win, that would be a huge confidence boost for him, since Querrey has emerged as the next big hope for American mens tennis. Young, even thoug he was only 14-16, used to have that hype. That being said, my prediction is Querrey, 1 and 2.

This is a no brainer . Just look at Querrey's results since he turned pro !

7-6(7),7-5.....closer than I thought it was going to be

Young played him closer than anyone last week did..does this mean he's getting better? or did Querrey have an off day?

Hey Austin and others on this blog, where is the best source for this sort of information on Challenger results? I did eventually find it at Stevegtennis.com, but is there another, more convenient, place?
